These are the standards theewedoos.com is written to. They exist so that a sentence on this site can be held against something.

Where the figures come from

Size runs, inseams, fiber content, pocket counts, colorways and prices come from our own product data, and the page prints them out of that data rather than out of a paragraph somebody typed. A measurement we do not have is left blank rather than estimated. A pocket count is the number sewn in, not the number a photograph suggests.

Fabric claims

UPF 50+, water-resistant, fleece-lined and compression are printed exactly as the product data carries them, piece by piece, and a pair sold without a rating is not given one by association with its neighbor. Anything on this site that touches sun exposure, fiber labeling or garment flammability is written under a named public source, listed on the page that makes the claim, with the date it was read. We do not say a garment will treat, prevent or cure anything, and we do not say it will make anyone faster.

Photographs

Every piece is shown in the colorway being sold. A photograph with a sales slogan printed into it is cut down to the part that is only photograph, and a picture that contradicts the text beside it comes off the page rather than getting a caption to explain it away.

Comments from buyers

Quotes on the front page are real, public and attributed to a verified buyer rather than to a name and a town. They are shortened for length and never reworded. A complaint stays a complaint. A quote that makes a claim we would not make ourselves, about the shape of a body, about a medical outcome, is not used however good it sounds.

What gets pulled

A pair that leaves stock leaves the site at the next build. A figure that turns out to be wrong is corrected on the page and the correction is noted on how we update the catalog. Write to move@theewedoos.com with the page and the figure.
