03What it is made of

Four fabrics and the job each one does

Everything on an Ewedoos card rests on two decisions: what the cloth is made of, and how the waistband is built. Both are printed. Neither is a promise about your body.

The buttery compression leggings in brown, photographed on white

Nylon and spandex

The legging cloth. Four-way stretch, a brushed hand that people call buttery, and a knit dense enough to pass a squat without going sheer. It wicks sweat, it dries fast, and it holds a phone in a side pocket without sagging. Not for the cold on its own.

Polyester and spandex, fleece-faced

The winter pair. The outer face is the same stretch knit. The inner face is brushed into a fleece that traps warm air against the leg. On some pairs a water-repellent finish beads light rain. It weighs more, it dries slower, and in July it stays in the drawer.

Cotton, polyester and spandex

The jeggings and pull-on jeans. Cotton gives the denim look and the denim feel, polyester keeps the shape after a wash, spandex is why it pulls on over the hip with no zipper. Wash inside out, cold, and the first wash may shed a little dye.

Waffle and Roman twill

The office cloth in the dress pants and the dress shorts. A textured weave with four-way stretch that drapes like a trouser and moves like a legging. An elastic back waist and a smooth front. Pleats on some pairs. Two front pockets deep enough for a phone.

06Since 2018, one question

What Ewedoos has been answering since 2018

Where does the phone go. Almost everything the Ewedoos team has made since 2018 starts from that question and works outward to the waistband, the cloth and the rest of the day.

The first thing we got right was the pocket. Not a pocket printed in a photograph, a pocket you can drop a phone into on a run and forget about: two on the sides of the thigh, deep enough that the phone rides flat, and on most pairs a third in the waistband for a card and a key. It sounds small. It is the reason a woman buys a second pair in navy, and the reason the whole range grew out of one legging.

The second thing took longer, and it was the waistband. A high rise that sits at the natural waist and stays there through a squat needs a wide, elastic band with a smooth front, so the leggings got one, and then the biker shorts, and then the dress pants, which is how a stretch waistband with no zipper ended up in an office. The same band went under a tennis dress with a pair of shorts and a bra sewn in, so a match needs one garment and not three.

What we have not done is chase a season. The cloth changes with the job, nylon and spandex for the studio, polyester and spandex with a fleece face for January, a UPF 50+ knit for the water, a waffle weave for the office, but every pair still has to pass the same three tests: does the phone stay put, does the waist stay up, and can you sit down in it. The range has spread from one legging to eight shelves on those three questions and nothing else.

What tummy control means on a card

A wide, double-layered waistband that holds rather than squeezes. It smooths the line between the hip and the ribs and it does not roll when you bend. It is not shapewear, and the card never says it is.

08The part that is not ours to certify

What a label on Ewedoos activewear has to say by law, and who writes the rule

In the United States the fiber content, the care instructions and the flammability of a garment answer to federal rules, and a UPF rating answers to a published test. Those sources are linked here rather than paraphrased into a promise.

Fiber content is a federal label

The FTC Textile Rules require most garments to carry a label naming each fiber by its generic name, nylon, spandex, polyester, cotton, with its percentage, the country of origin and the identity of the company responsible. The percentages on our cards are the ones on that label.

US Federal Trade Commission, read September 2, 2026

Care instructions are a rule, not a courtesy

The Care Labeling Rule requires a permanently attached label with a washing or drycleaning instruction, and the maker must have a reasonable basis for it: evidence that the instruction will not harm the garment, and a warning where a procedure a buyer would assume is safe would.

US Federal Trade Commission, read September 2, 2026

UPF 50 means 98 percent

A fabric rated UPF 50 lets one fiftieth of the sun’s UV through, about two percent. Weave density, colour and fiber decide the rating. A stretched or wet fabric protects less. UPF measures UVA and UVB together, which SPF on a sunscreen does not.

The Skin Cancer Foundation, read September 2, 2026

Flammability has three classes

Under 16 CFR 1610 every fabric for clothing is sorted into three classes: Class 1 is normal flammability and acceptable for clothing, Class 2 intermediate and allowed only for raised-fiber fabrics, Class 3 dangerously flammable and barred. Plain-surface fabrics of 2.6 ounces per square yard or more, and fabrics made entirely of nylon, polyester or the other listed fibers, are exempt from testing to support a guaranty.

US Code of Federal Regulations, 16 CFR 1610, read September 2, 2026

This section is general information about how activewear is labeled and rated in the United States, not advice about your skin, your training or a medical question. A UPF rating and a fiber percentage describe a piece of cloth. They do not treat, prevent or diagnose anything, and a garment does not replace sunscreen on the skin it leaves bare. If you have a specific concern, a skin condition, a pregnancy, a recovery, take it to a clinician rather than to a catalog.

10The brand, in one table

Which Ewedoos piece is the one for your week

Eight shelves, one decision, and it is almost never the one people arrive intending to make.

People come to this catalog looking for a legging and leave having changed their mind about which one. That is not a sales trick. It is what happens when you replace the question "do I like this color" with the question "where does the phone go on Tuesday". A compression legging with three pockets and a wide-leg dress pant with two are not the same object at two prices. One holds you through a run. The other sits at a desk and passes for a trouser.

The first fork is the day. Write down the hours a pair has to survive: a class at seven, a school gate at eight, a desk until five, a walk in the cold after. A pair that does the class and the gate is a legging or a biker short. A pair that does the desk is a dress pant or a pull-on jean. A pair that does the walk in January is fleece-lined, and the Ewedoos card prints the lining so that you can see the choice before you make it.

The flare yoga pants in black, in a deep lunge on a grey studio floor
The square-neck tennis dress in black, photographed on white

The second fork is the waist. Every high-rise pair here sits at the natural waist with a wide band and a smooth front, and the difference between the shelves is what holds it there: a compression knit on the running pairs, an elastic back on the dress pants, shirred sides on the maternity cut, a sewn-in pair of shorts under a tennis dress. The card prints the band and the pocket count one under the other, because a buyer at a screen cannot tell either from the photograph.

Everything else follows from those two. Nylon and spandex for the sweat. Polyester and spandex with a fleece face for the cold. A UPF 50+ knit for the water. A waffle weave for the office. A cotton denim with spandex in it for the jeans. Two side pockets on nearly everything, a waistband pocket on most, a zip on the hiking and the winter pairs. A size run that reaches 3XL on the pairs people buy most.

The table below is the whole of it. Find the row that matches the day in front of you rather than the row that matches the mood, and the shelf is chosen.

The Ewedoos pieces people search for by name

Five of them get a paragraph here; the rest are one click away, and every one of those pages carries its pieces with their prices, sizes and pocket counts.

Ewedoos Leggings with Pockets

The yoga pant with three pockets is the pair most people mean when they say Ewedoos: two on the thighs for a phone, one in the waistband for a card, a wide band that stays up through a squat, sizes XS to 3XL. The compression pair is the same idea in a firmer knit for a run, and the five-pocket pair adds a zip.

Ewedoos Yoga Pants

The flare yoga pant is the legging that goes to work: a bootcut leg over a high waist, two deep side pockets and a pocket in the back of the band, in a buttery knit that drapes like a trouser and stretches like a legging. It is the pair people wear to a class at seven and a desk at nine.

Ewedoos Biker Shorts

The biker short with three pockets is the legging with the leg cut off at the thigh and nothing else changed: the same wide waistband, two side pockets for a phone, a waistband pocket for a card, in a 5-inch length for August and an 8-inch length for a class. The padded cycling short is the one for a saddle.

Ewedoos Tennis Dress

The tennis dress is a pair of shorts with a pocket on each thigh and a bra with removable pads, and over them a dress in a four-way stretch knit with straps that adjust at the back. Square neck for the court, U-neck with an open back for the heat, a flowy A-line for the walk to the car.

Ewedoos Fleece Lined Leggings

The fleece-lined legging is the summer pair with a brushed face inside: the same high waist, the same side pockets, and a nap that holds warm air against the leg on a January walk. The water-resistant pair adds a finish that beads rain and a reflective strip down the shin for a run after dark.

Ewedoos Dress Pants

The wide-leg work pant is the legging waistband on a trouser cloth: an elastic back, a smooth front, no button or zipper, two front pockets deep enough for a phone, a pleat on some pairs and a 26 or 28-inch inseam. It sits at a desk and passes for a trouser, and it goes on in one pull.

Ewedoos Rash Guard

The rash guard is a long-sleeve swim shirt in a knit rated UPF 50+, which means it lets through about two percent of the sun’s UV while it is dry. It wicks, it dries in the time it takes to eat lunch, and the women’s cut is long enough to wear over a swimsuit as a tunic, cinched at the sides.

12Before you click

Six things to measure before you pick a size

The commonest mistake is ordering the size you wear in jeans. Read the size run on the card against a tape measure once and the Ewedoos catalog turns into a filter.

Waist first, then hip

Measure at the natural waist, where you bend, and at the widest point of the hip. A high-rise waistband sits at the first number and has to clear the second, and the hip is the one people forget.

Between sizes?

On the compression pairs and the biker shorts, take the larger size: the knit holds, and a size down pinches at the band. On the flare and wide-leg pairs, take the smaller: the leg does the work and the waist should sit still.

Inseam by height

Where a pair offers two inseams, the shorter one suits 5 foot 4 and under and the longer one 5 foot 6 and over. Between those two heights it is a matter of whether you want the hem at the ankle or over the shoe.

High rise means the natural waist

Every high-waisted pair here is cut to sit at the narrowest point of the torso, where the body bends, not on the hip bones. Measure there. A band that sits an inch lower than that rolls when you sit, and one that sits there stays where it was put.

Compression or buttery

Compression is a firmer knit that holds the leg and the waist. Buttery is a softer knit that moves and drapes. Both are printed on the card. The first is for a run, the second is for a class or a sofa.

The pocket test

A side pocket on most pairs takes a phone in a case and keeps it flat against the thigh. The waistband pocket takes a card and a key. A zip pocket on the hiking and winter pairs takes both and closes.

I own a small shop, and I love wearing comfortable clothes since I'm standing and walking all day long. Coming from a corporate professional background, my wardrobe is either too professional or too casual. These pants definitely solve this issue! I feel like I’m wearing pajamas at work, but I look professional. I’m not going to lie, as soon as I took these pants out of the bag and saw the unusual waffle weave fabric, I was going to return them without even trying them on, but I'm glad I did! Once they're on, I can’t even notice the waffle fabric. They fit perfectly and are most definitely very comfy. Definitely not for taller girls, though.

I like these shorts! I would say they are better for shorter rides, the padding is great but I wish it was placed just slightly more forward. These shorts do not have pockets, though I wish they did. They are very tight in a good way! True to size, and they do not roll up which is great. I can comfortably ride 10 miles with these on, but I would not recommend past that.

I have two pairs of these and they're great. They're snug, comfortable and actually go high on the waist like they say they do. The pockets are also really good: my phone is kinda huge because of the case I put it in, and it fits in the pockets just fine. The pockets also haven't gotten stretched out as a result, so their ability to "spring back" is also really good. They're not super breathable, but I don't think that's a big deal. I would said they're probably light-medium weight; I've worn them for workouts, lounging, and errands. One of my grievances with them is that they slide down, so I do have to pull them up regularly, which can be annoying.

I like these so much that I have now bought them in three colors and I am trying to decide what other color I need. I wear these for running, but I have also worn them to just get stuff done around the house. They fit well. They are high waisted with good tummy control, but not so high waisted that they go up to my boobs. They almost never ride up my very thick thighs. The side pockets fits my phone, and the waist pocket is perfect for my keys.

Perfect for walks down into the 20s F, depending on the wind and if you're standing around or not. I have several brands and these are the thickest and warmest of the flocked type (they're not actually polar fleece lined of course, the material is simply fuzzy-ish on the inside). Boots or knee socks underneath add more warmth.

As a 36dd, this actually fits. I got a large to make sure it’s not loose after stretching from a few uses and it perfectly lifts and holds the sistas up. I use it for activity at the gym and it flattens and holds them great which is what I controversially want. I like that the padding isn’t those weird movable cups but a fully lined and smooth natural thickness built in. The material is also such high quality and thick for the price.

Three pieces on fit, cloth and where the phone goes

How to read a size run and an inseam against your own tape measure, what nylon and spandex do that cotton cannot, and why a pocket on a legging is harder to sew than it looks.

15Questions people send us

What buyers ask Ewedoos before they order

Six of them, answered here in a paragraph each. Longer answers live on the shelf pages and in Fit Notes.

Where can you buy Ewedoos leggings?

Every buying button on this site opens the piece you were looking at, in the colorway you chose, at our retail partner. That is where you pick the size, where the payment, the delivery and any exchange happen, and the price you see there is the price you pay.

If you would rather see the whole range in one go, the button at the foot of every page opens the catalog rather than a single pair.

Will your phone stay in an Ewedoos pocket on a run?

Yes, on the side pockets. They are cut deep into the thigh so the phone rides flat against the leg rather than bouncing at the top, and the knit is dense enough that a phone in a case does not drag the pocket down. The waistband pocket is for a card and a key, not for a phone: it is shallow on purpose, so it does not dig when you bend.

What size should you order in Ewedoos leggings if you are between two?

On the compression pairs and the biker shorts, the larger of the two: the knit holds, and a size down pinches at the band before it does anything else. On the flare, the wide-leg and the dress pants, the smaller: the leg does the work and the waist should sit still. The size run on every card runs XS to 3XL on most styles, and the guide on this page says what to measure first.

Are Ewedoos leggings squat-proof, or will they go sheer?

The compression and the buttery pairs are both knitted dense enough to pass a squat in a mirror without going sheer, and the card prints the fiber content where we hold it, nylon and spandex on most, polyester and spandex on the fleece-lined pairs. A pair ordered a size too small will thin at the seat sooner than the right size, which is one more reason to take the larger one.

How do you wash Ewedoos leggings so the stretch lasts?

Cold, inside out, with similar colors, and hang to dry: heat is what takes the recovery out of spandex, and a dryer does it faster than a summer of wear. The jeggings and pull-on jeans follow the same rule and may shed a little dye on the first wash. The label sewn into the pair is the instruction that counts, and every pair carries one.

What comes built into an Ewedoos tennis dress?

A pair of shorts with a pocket on each thigh and a bra with removable pads, both sewn to the dress at the waist, so the whole thing goes on as one garment. The straps adjust at the back. You wear nothing under it but underwear, and the card says which cut has a square neck, a U-neck or an open back.
