Fleece-lined means one thing on a card here: the inner face of the knit is brushed into a nap that traps a layer of warm air against the leg. It is warmth, not insulation rated to a temperature, and it is enough for a walk, a school run, a cold office or a run in January. The plain pair is the everyday legging with that lining, the same high waist and the same two side pockets, in a polyester-spandex knit because polyester takes a brushed face better than nylon does.

The water-resistant pair is the one for weather: an 87 percent polyester, 13 percent spandex knit with a finish that beads light rain and wet grass, a reflective strip down the shin for a run after dark, and four pockets, one of them a zip. The flare is the same lining under a bootcut leg, with marks inside the hem for shortening it at home. The joggers are the looser cut, with cargo pockets on the thigh and the water-resistant finish outside. The thermal long sleeve with the zipped chest pocket is the top that goes over all of them.

How warm are Ewedoos fleece lined leggings really?

Warm enough for a walk or a school run at freezing and for a run at any temperature you would run at, because the lining holds the heat you make. For a day standing still in the snow, they are a base layer under the snow pants, not the pants themselves.

Are Ewedoos fleece lined leggings waterproof?

The water-resistant pair beads light rain and wears that finish off slowly with washing. It is not waterproof and the card does not say so. The plain fleece-lined pair has no finish. The snow pants on the winter shelf are the waterproof pair.
